In cooperation with the Fulbright Association, Nicolaus Copernicus University and Boise State  invite you to join us for a historic event - the first ever Summer Institute on Emerging Technologies for Teaching and Learning. Join us at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland to exchange ideas and thoughts, promote sustained cooperation and intercommunication, share academic experiences, and benefit from exposure to different cultures. We are looking for participation from a broad range of talents, including people from Europe and the U.S., to broaden the knowledge base on teaching and learning with technology, and establish important connections for future collaborations.

 

The institute is open to anyone interested in emerging technologies for teaching and learning in a global context. Through this institute we hope to gather together great minds in search of sustainable global partnerships that leverage the power of technology in educational settings. Teachers, administrators, directors, higher education faculty, graduate students are all welcome.

Nicolaus Copernicus, from whom the University takes its name, is a distinguished Polish astronomer, the founder of heliocentric theory, a mathematician, an economist, a physician, and a lawyer. Copernicus was born on February 19, 1473 in Toruń. For years Nicolaus Copernicus University has been one of the top five Polish universities. For the almost 70 years of its existence, close to 200,000 alumni have received degrees. Annually, over 8,000 students from the 17 different faculties and various departments graduate, including 200 doctoral students.
